TA Philosophy:

Organization is a huge part of being successful in middle school.  To assist in helping students stay organized, each child is assigned a Teacher Advisor (TA).  The TA teacher will be the same for the three years of middle school.  This person is assigned the following responsibilities:

• Assist students to remain organized with task/homework completion, prioritizing tasks/periodic deadlines for projects, and to monitor grades in all classes.
• Be a consistent person for your child to go to for assistance, socially, emotionally, or academically.
• Assist in advocating for themselves with other teachers when situations arise.
• Be a hub for parents to contact. 

Organizational Planners:

Every middle school student needs to have a tool to assist in organization.  These can be planners, applications on phones, etc.  Organization planners are available for purchase at Montana City Middle School.  If you and/or your child choose to use a planner the school sells, the planner notebook is provided by the students Teacher Advisor (TA).  Some students find digital organizers/planners a more effective way for them to stay organized.  Montana City will allow the use of Kindles, phones, iPads, tablets, or other electronic devices at their own risk and responsibility in school when approved by the student's classroom teacher or administrator.
